Guided nervous system rest & recovery

A disruption to the body-mind connection is a very significant player in the realms of chronic tension, stress, pain, burnout & inability to switch off. A cohesive mind-body connection is a central pillar to health in your body,  sense of self (including wellbeing & purpose), your relationships, work and life.

Yoga Massage builds a bridge between body and mind, or at very least sure up the foundations of the one already there.

As well as dismantling the old scaffolding (that chronic tension in your muscles), yoga massage heals the nervous system, rewiring it to remember how to receive meaningful rest & recovery whilst dismantling the barriers that keep it at bay.

Yoga Massage helps you build & strength your mind-body connection, so you can feel better & sustain health even in the face of challenges.

‘Your support over the months I have been seeing you has been so valuable and a cornerstone in me regaining my body, my senses and my confidence. You have gifted me a lifetime toolkit and guided me towards my nature and opened up directions that were closed.

I have been able to share my pretty crazy story with you and have been met with your warmth, empathy, intelligence and compassion. I am so lucky to have found you at a really tough and vulnerable time for me. You, your spirit and your skills are very special indeed.

My next phase is going to be a bit different and you have played a massive role in preparing me for that. I am forever grateful Beth.’

Is Yoga Massage Therapy for you?

You are in the right place if you want to:

  • Reduce tension & holding in your muscles, facia, tissues, nervous system and mind

  • Develop body-mind connection and self awareness for healthy embodiment

  • Support your body to trust new ranges of motion for improved flexibility

  • Discover the breath as a tool for improved regulation

  • Free up restrictions that hinder the breath, and flow in the body

  • Foster trust in natural somatic expression and the intelligence of the body

  • Make simple, sustainable (sometime unorthodox) changes to your lifestyle in service of your wellbeing

  • Reframe pathology and develop genuine curiosity & care for yourself

‘Soul & body I suggest, react sympathetically to each other. A change in the state of the soul produces a change in the shape of the body. Conversely, a change in the shape of the body produces a change in the state of soul.’

- Aristotle

“I have been working with Beth for a couple of years now.

I have had my struggles with mental health but working with her has helped me find absolute peace  again.

The time she takes to ensure the practice is the best it can be is second to none. I can't recommend this treatment enough. It's the best investment on yourself to see someone of the calibre of Beth and her work speaks for itself.

Her practice space is just beautiful too. I am so grateful for her.”

Frequently asked questions

  • Not at all! In fact, if you struggle with your flexibility, this the perfect place to start.

You don’t need any experience of yoga either, but if you’ve ever thought that you might benefit from adding some into your life then this also a great space to gently introduce yourself to some of the concepts of yoga, stretching & presence.

  • As standard my Yoga Massage sessions take place fully clothed. For men and women it is best to wear clothes which are comfortable and allow movement. Shorts, Leggings or joggers with vest, T-shirt or sports bra are good options.

Sometimes it may be useful for me to incorporate some oil based massage techniques. As such, the optimum dress code would allow some skin contact whilst allowing you to feel comfortable. For example something akin to training shorts, with secure undergarments worn beneath. A tank top, or sports bra work well for the upper body. You will be covered with beneath blankest as required for warmth and comfort.

  • Your first appointment is typically 2 hrs, which fly’s by! It is essential that you give yourself at least 30 minus post treatment were there are no demands on your energy. No rushing. You’ll get the most out of the experience if you pause your busy plans until tomorrow.

Subsequent shorter treatments are available at 75 or 90 mins although most people like to stick with 2hrs.

  • A person who feels in good nick and wants to keep it that way typically finds a treatment once a month works well.

If you’ve not had treatment for a long time, or have some challenges that need some attention you’ll probably benefit most from a more focused approach over a few sessions. There is however no obligation.

A single session can work a charm, and be a useful reset for the system. Many people discover that bodywork such as Yoga Massage is a really great way to keep their health & wellbeing in good order and opt for monthly or bi-weekly appointments.

Theres no one size fits all and this approach can be adapted to your lifestyle and needs/

  • Yes, highly, and I’m passionate about holding a safe space for the integration of embodied trauma where required. I have spent many years studying trauma and its relation to the body & nervous system, and I am committed to continuous professional development in this field. I have employed experience supporting some of the most vulnerable and challenged people in the country, and in this private practice more years still of helping people cultivate safety, connection, ultimately facilitating the integration of trauma.

However is feels important to acknowledge the limitations of my practice. Unfortunately, I am not able to offer crisis support. If you are in active crisis I recommend you speak to your Doctor to determine the most appropriate level of help and support.

Whilst Yoga Massage Therapy and coaching can be very therapeutic and my space is welcoming of your whole being, my specialism is not Psychotherapy. If you have a breadth of material you wish to explore primarily through talking and the mind, you may find psychotherapy to be an excellent companion to Yoga Massage.

If you are primarily interested in this work for trauma resolution, I recommend dropping me an enquiry or booking a consultation prior to see if this approach is what you are seeking to explore and suitable for you at this time.

  • Sessions range in price, with my most affordable option being packages and monthly memberships which are available to purchase via email.

My drop in prices are available to see on my booking system.

  • Thank you in advance for understanding for the sustainability of my small business that I have a 48hr calculation & rescheduling policy.

This is because when appointments are made I turn away other enquiries, plan my schedule around them as well as have expenses such as room hire, travel etc paid in advance especially for appointments booked. The full appointment fee will still be due or retained for cancellations or rescheduling with less that 48hrs notice.

  • Yes! If you have cleints which you think would benefit from my services I can work from your premises. My minimus requirement is a clean, warm, quiet space and reconfirmed bookings prior to attendance.

To discuss further please book a consultation with me.

  • As I’m admin time limited, emails are easily missed! For this reason I recommend that you book a free consultation if you have an enquiries.

Alternatively you can reach out to me on Instagram at @_bthanwild, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

About me.

I’m Beth, a cosmically curious human who’s been helping people feel more at ease in their bodies for over 10 years. I untangle grounded spiritual practice from new age nonsense, and extract Polyvagal Theory, somatics & psychology from clickbait clinical jargon.

Integrity & congruence are some of my highest values, and I believe you’ll feel that when you’re in the room with me. I live what I offer, and what I offer has been crafted through 1000’s of hours of professional training and personal evolution.

My practice is fused with psychology, person-centred values, reverence for the natural world (including our human experience) and the teachings of many spiritual beings. My study has been deep and vast. Along with my Bachelor Degree, I am also qualified as Hatha Yoga Teacher, & Fitness instructor with additional CPD in Counselling, Somatic Movement, Yoga Therapy for Women’s Health and Wellbeing Coaching to name a few, all of which help me tailor sessions to you as a unique being using an integrative approach.
